It Was Politics As Usual At Political Museum
The Town Talk (excerpt)
There was plenty of politics being discussed Saturday at the induction ceremony for the new members of the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame in Winnfield.
Chris John. the former 7th District congressman, was in a jovial and partisan mood as he walked toward the political museum.
John, 49 and a Democrat, was one of the honorees.
Despite his youth, John has served in the Louisiana House, the U.S. House and is executive director of Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association.
Asked if he has any future political aspirations, he said, "What do you think I ought run for? Is there something open?"
"Where is he tonight?" he said of (Governor Bobby) Jindal, "Is he in Iowa or Montana? I can't keep up."
