Ex-Senator Lands Job At LSU Health Sciences Center (WHY?) by John Pope - Times-Picayune (excerpt)
Former state Sen. Diana Bajoie is the new community relations director at LSU Health Sciences Center.
Bajoie, a Southern University graduate working on a master's degree in health administration, will be responsible for developing and monitoring programs providing information to the community about services the health center offers, and she will work to promote diversity among the faculty.
When she entered the Legislature in 1976, Bajoie was the only woman in the House. In 1991, she was the first black woman elected to the state Senate, and when she became president pro tempore in 2004, she was the first woman elected to that post. She could not run for re-election last year because of term limits.
COMMENTARY: WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS HIRE? THEY SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!!
