Blanco worried Road Home program may run out of funds

One of the governor’s top aides said her Road Home Program needs roughly $3 billion within three months to avoid going broke.
Blanco herself would not put a price tag on the problem. “I would appreciate some assistance,” she said at the State Capitol.
Don Powell, the president’s point man on the hurricane recovery, will want to know what happened to the $10.4 billion federal money already sent to recover from the hurricanes, Taylor Beery, Powell’s policy director, said.
Villere Issues 5 Questions for Governor’s Office Regarding Road Home Shortfall
Roger F. Villere, Jr., Chairman of the Republican Party of Louisiana, today issued the following five questions to Governor Kathleen Blanco’s office regarding the shortfall in Louisiana’s Road Home Program budget:
1.What is the amount of the expected shortfall in the Road Home Program?
2.What is the Administration’s plan to solve the problem?
3.Which Administration official first discovered the shortfall?
4.What did the Governor know…and when did she first know it?
5.Prior to Congressman Jindal’s letter bringing this matter to the attention of the public, when did Governor Blanco plan to inform the citizens of Louisiana about this problem?
