Louisiana continued to show job growth in May, as the state added 43,700 jobs in the past year to reach 1,944,700, the Louisiana Workforce Commission reported Friday.

“Our growing employment reinforces nearly two years of consistently good news about Louisiana’s labor markets,” Curt Eysink, executive director of the Louisiana Workforce Commission, said in a statement.
