Black Alliance shines light on voucher option
by Sarah Eddington - News Star (excerpt)
The Louisiana Black Alliance for Educational Options is making its way through northeastern Louisiana as part of its statewide tour to educate parents on local education options available to them, particularly with Louisiana's newly expanded voucher program.
The organization's first stop in northeastern Louisiana was Wednesday evening at New Living Word Ministries in Ruston. The organization makes its next stop at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Emily P. Robinson Community Center in Monroe.
Eric Lewis, the alliance's state director, said the education expo is to educate parents on the options available to them and their children locally through the voucher program.
