70% DON'T LIKE MAYOR

(ZACHARY, LA.) Connect Call USA, Inc. completed an automated poll Sept.13, 2010 of the citizens of Zachary. They asked “If the election for Mayor of Zachary were held today, for whom would you vote”? Only 33% of those responding said they would vote for Mayor Martinez. When an incumbent politician drops under 40% this generally indicates serious credibility problems with the voters.

INSIDE LOUISIANA NEWS will be attending political forums in various areas and will report on the positive and negative that is affecting current office holders. It appears there will be a major house cleaning not only on a national level but also local political office holders will feel the backlash.

Included in the poll was East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor- President Kip Holden’s proposed placing of his bond issue on the April 2011 ballot. Unlike before, this bond issue focuses on law enforcement and construction of a new parish prison and does not include the controversial downtown “Alive” project.

Based on this information, voters were asked “if the election were held today would you vote to pass Mayor Holden’s bond issue”.
