I was the guest speaker last week at the weekly meeting of the Southwest Shreveport Rotary Club. As I usually do, I passed out a ballot on the races in the upcoming election. Here are the results:
United States President - Republicans John McCain/Sarah Palin 85%; Democrat Barack Obama/Joe Biden 15%.
U.S. Senate - Republican John Kennedy 77%; incumbent Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu 23%.
U.S. House - (All candidates were listed together) Paul Carmouche (D) 33%; Chris Gorman (R) 25%; John Milkovich (D) 18%; Artis Cash (D) 8%; Dr. John Fleming (R) 8%; Jeff Thompson (R) 8%; Willie Banks (D) 0%.
Public Service Commissioner - Incumbent Foster Campbell (D) 69%; Jim Crowley (I) 31%.
