4th District: Carmouche Continues To Dodge Opponents
(excerpt)

ALL THE NEWS

Paul Carmouche, retiring Caddo Parish District Attorney and the candidate endorsed by the National Democratic party, continues to frustrate his opponents by refusing almost all appearances with them.

The Democrats have two very articulate and professional candidates in Banks and Milkovich. Either one would have represented their party very well in this election. The Democrats however jumped in to recruit the 65 year old Carmouche, thinking that his reputation as Caddo prosecuter for the past two decades would allow them to carry the district. The only problem is that Carmouche seems to have very little interest in this job or the rigors of campaigning.

The Fourth District needs to elect a congressman that will be able to help the Louisiana congressional delegation regain the seniority it has lost the last few years. Electing Carmouche will not help us do that. At best he would serve two terms before we would start again with another freshman congressman.

From the remarks of the crowd after the event, the democratic candidates were not the only ones frustrated. "I will not vote for a congressman just because someone in Washington, DC thinks I should. I want to hear from him what his beliefs are not just see it in a commercial," said an Arcadia resident. "Besides if he won't pay attention to us before the election, how much attention will he pay to us after the election."

Maybe the following video of Carmouche trying to answer a question about the Employee Free Choice Act will explain why his DC handlers are keeping him out of the publics eye:

COMMENTARY: Watch the "conservative" Democrat Paul Carmouche - whom Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Rangel and Howard Dean are all supporting for Congress in Louisiana's Fourth Congressional District.

Carmouche is expected to be burned in the brewing Rangel Scandal in D.C..
