Two more recall petitions are being circulated against elected officials in Richwood.
A week after petitions for the recall of Richwood aldermen Simeon Profit and Alvin Jackson were filed with the Secretary of State's Office, recall petitions against Mayor Steve Hunter and longtime Alderman Lavern Hester have been started.
Petitions had not been started against the remaining two aldermen, Leo Kelly and Leola Goins Keys, late Tuesday.
The town has been awash with controversy since Hunter's administration took over in July when an investigation began into the fiscal practices of former Mayor Ed Harris.
Petitioners in each of the four recall efforts have until late January to collect slightly more than 330 signatures from active registered voters in Richwood in order for the governor to call a recall election.
