"Change" Is John Kennedy's Middle Name

State Treasurer John Kennedy announced this week his intention to qualify and run for the United States Senate. This is not his first rodeo in that regard.

Kennedy kicked off his statewide bus tour saying, "If you want fundamental bedrock change, I'm your man."

"Kennedy has changed considerably since his unsuccessful run as a Democrat against U.S. Sen. David Vitter in 2004 when he endorsed then-Democratic presidential nominee U.S. Sen. John Kerry. This time he is running as a conservative Republican." - Monroe News Star

"Kennedy four years ago endorsed John Kerry for president and campaigned for the U.S. Senate as a Democrat with a platform arguably more liberal than Landrieu's record in the Senate." -Times Picayune

Kennedy finished a weak third the last time he ran for the Senate.
