The Louisiana House and Senate continue to grapple over which members of government boards should be required to disclose personal financial information and to what degree.
“The will of the two houses is yet to be clearly defined,” said House and Governmental Affairs Committee chairman state Rep. Rick Gallot, D-Ruston. “We are certainly not there yet.”
Gallot said he does not know where the Jindal administration stands on the boards and commissions issue. It was Gallot who led ethics law change efforts for Gov. Bobby Jindal in the February special session when the disclosure laws were passed.
