Committees on both sides of the State Capitol advanced Gov. Bobby Jindal’s job training package Thursday.
The House Labor and Industrial Relations Committee advanced the Senate-passed work-force development legislation after massaging it to look like the House-passed version.
Action came quickly with no testimony about the guts of the 77-page Senate Bill 612, which is sponsored by Senate President Joel Chaisson II, D-Destrehan.
