In accordance with Senator McCain’s clinching of the Republican Party’s nomination, Louisiana’s Congressional Delegation, comprised of U.S. Sen. David Vitter and U.S. Reps. Jim McCrery, Rodney Alexander and Charles Boustany, issued the following statement endorsing Sen. John McCain for president:

"We join together to enthusiastically support John McCain as the Republican nominee for president. John is a proven leader, and he has the right stuff to lead us in facing key challenges like winning the war on terror and reestablishing fiscal discipline and a healthy, growing economy."
