We see no reason why judges should not be included among officials required to disclose their personal finances as part of an ethics bill being considered by the Legislature.
The Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee approved legislation that would require all other state and local elected officials, and many appointed ones, to annually disclose their personal financial dealings.
We hope lawmakers will place judges back into the scope of the bill.
