Gov. Bobby Jindal is calling legislators to the State Capitol for three weeks starting today in a bid to improve Louisiana’s image.
One statistic comes from the Corporate Crime Reporter, a Washington, D.C.,-based weekly legal newsletter that ranks states each year on corruption based on the rate of public corruption convictions per 100,000 residents.
In 2007, Louisiana ranked as the most-corrupt state, followed by Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, New Jersey and New York.
