Pinnacle Entertainment’s proposed casino for Baton Rouge would bear little resemblance to the two gambling boats that have operated downtown for more than a decade.
Pinnacle officials say the Riviere casino — up for a public vote Feb. 9 in East Baton Rouge Parish — would be similar in many aspects to the one the company has had at L’Auberge du lac Casino Resort in Lake Charles for nearly four years.
The resort has 1,000 rooms, ranging in size from 550 square feet to the posh, 2,100-square-foot villas reserved exclusively as “comps” for high rollers.
