Police Juror Vacates For Position With State AG's Office

Longtime Rapides Parish Police Juror Joe Fuller is stepping down from the jury to become minority liaison of the state Attorney General's Office.

Fuller, 60, who served on the jury for 16 years and was recently re-elected by a strong margin, told his fellow jurors Monday that he was honored to have worked with them and that he will miss being part of a good working team.

Fuller's resignation will become effective next Monday, and he begins in his new post Tuesday, Jan. 15.

As minority liaison, Fuller will travel throughout the state to be the link between the public and the Attorney General's Office. He will be based in Alexandria.

Fuller, who met Attorney General-elect Buddy Caldwell during his campaign for the state office, said he was thankful for the appointment. He is particularly pleased with the revival of the minority liaison position, which was previously defunct, Fuller said.
