TONIGHT BEGINS SEMINAR SERIES ON USES OF INTERNET FOR POLITICS & ADVOCACY

The Louisiana Institute of Public Policy & Politics is currently offering a seminar series on the various uses of the internet in campaign politics, issue management & advocacy. The seminars will be held on the Tuesday nights of February 19th & 26th from 6-9 pm in the Executive Board room of Business First Bank. The bank is located on Jefferson Highway across from Baton Rouge Country Club.

As in the past participants will receive instruction by the most knowledgable practitioners in their respective fields. They will share their experience & insights into the latest cutting edge technology, strategies, techniques & applications. It is very clear that all communications, not just political is turning more & more to the internet. If you are interested in politics or public affairs this series is a 'must do' for you and/or your staff. This series is a great opportunity to get ahead of the learning curve.

This is not an academic excercise, it's a hands on learning experience including direct interaction with the instructors in an informal setting. A few of the topics to be covered will be: Integration of websites, blogs, email and social media into the overall campaign, internet fundraising applications, buying social media ads, targeting strategies & apps, use of polling data for social media & writing for the internet.
