Tony Perkins urges voters to pray, prepare, participate

Tony Perkins, president of the conservative Family Research Council, is out with another pledge. But this one isn't for the candidates. It's for voters. Perkins, a former Louisiana legislator who wrote the state's Covenant Marriage law, making it more difficult to divorce, said he's encouraging people to pledge to "pray for the nation and the November elections, prepare for registering and encouraging two others to vote and participate in the election by voting for candidates who will uphold the Constitution and biblical values." Perkins, who was cool to presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney during the GOP primaries, said he believes President Barack Obama's support for same-sex marriage will bring conservatives around to Romney's campaign.
