Superintendent John White was in Tallulah Monday night as part of his statewide Louisiana Believes tour. The Madison Parish School Board was the first stop on a 12 parish trip to explain how education reform will impact local school districts.
The discussion included policy changes that districts will have to make as a result of Acts 1, 2 and 3 of the 2012 legislative session.
The Louisiana Believes plan includes the federal approved Elementary and Secondary Education waiver, the transition to the Common Core State Standards and the implementation of Compass-the state's new evaluation system for educators.
