Business incentives pushed by Gov. Bobby Jindal cleared a Louisiana Senate committee Wednesday despite questions about their cost to the state.
The Senate Committee on Finance agreed without objection Monday to advance House Bill 937 and House Bill 958, both by state Rep. Joel Robideaux, R-Lafayette. The proposals now move to the Senate floor.
The bills would create tax rebates on payroll as well as on expenses tied to business headquarter relocations or expansions.
