Louisiana Democrats name interim management team

New Louisiana Democratic Party Chairwoman Karen Carter Peterson has named a new interim management team after ousting after ousting former party chairman Buddy Leach in elections April 28. Stephen Handwerk was named executive director. Johnny Anderson and Mike Stagg will share communications duties for the party. Anderson will direct faith-based and community outreach efforts, while Stagg will focus on developing the party's communications and messaging capabilities. The changes were approved last week by the Executive Committee of the State Central Committee and approved Tuesday by the Democratic National Committee.
