Lawyer-nurse Tom Willmott easily led the primary and will meet Michael McMyne, an author and pharmaceuticals representative, in the Nov. 17 runoff.

Willmott, 47, campaigned to solve health care staffing problems, seek more state money for police and tougher penalties for contractor fraud. McMyne, 26, campaigned to seek more state money for roads and police and call an insurance negotiation summit for all coastal states.
