Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell is also conducting an investigation of Winn Parish Sheriff A.D. “Bodie” Little and the way he does business as sheriff. Little and 10 other suspects in an alleged drug-trafficking scheme have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Shreveport, accused of organizing the distribution of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.
The federal indictment, alleging conspiracy and other charges, was unsealed Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley said in a news release.
Little has been sheriff since summer 2008. The 62-year-old was elected Winn Parish tax assessor in 1989, an office he held until he became sheriff.
