We’re glad that when a national government watchdog group ranked all 50 states on how they provided online information concerning government spending, Louisiana was among the top five states for the quality of its website.
LaTrac, Louisiana’s website, tied for fourth place in the ranking published by the United States Public Interest Research Group, a nonprofit organization that promotes government accountability. Gov. Bobby Jindal directed the implementation of LaTrac through an executive order he signed during his first full day in office. Jindal later approved legislation making the existence of LaTrac a matter of state law.
We commend the governor for his support of LaTrac.
