State Sen. Joe McPherson, D-Woodworth, has served in the Senate for 23 of the past 27 years.
But unlike some of his colleagues, McPherson said, he has no interest in seeking a seat in the House when Louisiana’s term limits law forces him to leave the upper chamber after this year.
“I have never served in the House and will never serve in the House,” he said.
