Former Rapides Parish Police Juror Steve Bordelon is facing a federal indictment that alleges he accepted a bribe concerning federal funds allocated to the Police Jury.
The indictment was handed down by a federal grand jury last week, and Bordelon is to appear before U.S. District Magistrate Judge James D. Kirk at the U.S. District Courthouse in Alexandria at 1:30 p.m. May 20.
When reached at his home in Pineville on Wednesday night, Bordelon said he hadn't received a summons about the indictment and didn't know anything about it. "I don't know what you're talking about," said Bordelon, who spent 12 years on the Pineville City Council before becoming a police juror. "I'm not going to comment on anything because I don't know anything."
