Story Archives: Jindal lauds new company

Jindal lauds new company
by Barbara Leader - News Star (excerpt)

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal was in Monroe on Thursday to participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Computer Programs and Systems Inc., a Mobile, Ala., company that serves health care facilities and professionals. "With today's ribbon cutting, we're seeing the positive impact that CPSI has already made on this community," he said. "Starting with CPSI's expansion announcement in March of last year, Monroe and the surrounding region went on to win several major projects in the midst of the national recession."

CPSI made a commitment last year to build a call-center in Monroe and expand over four years to employ 100 workers. At present, the center employs 45.

CPSI is a health care information technology company that designs, develops, markets, installs and supports computerized information technology systems to meet the demands of small and midsize hospitals.
