West Monroe Mayor Dave Norris will serve a ninth consecutive term in office.
Qualifying for the March 27 West Monroe mayoral election concluded Friday, with Norris being the only qualifier in the race. His ninth, four-year term will officially begin July 1
Norris was first elected to the mayor's office in 1978. "It feels very good for people to have confidence in me for that long of a time," Norris said. "(The next four years) is going to be exciting because we've got a lot of good things going on, I'm just very grateful to do it for another four years."
