Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is coming to New Orleans. Palin said Friday that she will speak at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference April 8-11.
“I’m looking forward to addressing conservative activists from across the South,” the former vice presidential candidate said in a statement. Palin joins Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich as confirmed conference participants, according to the Louisiana Republican Party Web site. The state party is conference host.
Conference-goers are scheduled to participate in a straw poll on who should be the GOP’s next presidential contender.
