Gov. Bobby Jindal has put to rest months of water-cooler speculation about his interest in this fall's U.S. Senate race. The governor says definitively that he will not run for the Senate.
The governor told The Times-Picayune that the answer is "absolutely no. No caveats, no loopholes." Jindal says his only political plans are to seek re-election in 2011.
The party-primary election is Aug. 28, and the general election is Nov. 2.
