Jindal Launches Sign Up Louisiana Campaign
by Congressman Bobby Jindal - Louisiana Political News Service

BATON ROUGE - Today, Bobby Jindal held a conference call meeting with supporters all across the state to announce the launch of the “Sign Up Louisiana” initiative to sign up 100,000 new supporters in his commitment to bringing Louisiana a fresh start.

Jindal told supporters on the call, “I need you to talk to all your friends, neighbors, family members, and ask them to join us – join us in declaring war against government incompetence; join us in declaring war against out-of-control government spending; join us in declaring war on corruption.”

“Sign Up Louisiana” is a web-based grassroots campaign initiative that will work to add 100,000 supporters to the Jindal campaign in seven days. The initiative begins today and ends on the following Wednesday, August 1. Supporters will work to “sign up” 100,000 Louisianians through multiple phone calls and emails, and new supporters will be recorded through www.BobbyJindal.com.

On the conference call, Jindal also gave a grassroots update of his campaign’s efforts to date. As of today, the Jindal campaign has knocked on more than 970,000 doors across the state, asking Louisianians to join the campaign. The campaign has also made phone contacts with more than 355,000 voters, asking for their support.

“This is an incredible, unprecedented, historic grassroots effort, and I have asked you to join me on this call today because I need your help to keep these successes going. The special interests who profit from the status quo won’t give up easily, and that is why we need your help today,” Jindal said on the conference call.
