Shaw's chief Bernhard starts round of television shows

The Shaw Group Inc.’s Jim Bernhard will appear on CNBC’s “Mad Money With Jim Cramer” this evening on the national cable business channel (Cox Cable Channel 44). It’s the first in a whirlwind of TV appearances by the Shaw chairman and chief executive, all of them centered on the rollout of Shaw’s new ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange, SHAW, which replaces the SGR symbol Friday.

Bernhard will visit with Cramer at 5 p.m. on CNBC’s “Mad Money,” followed on Friday by the ceremonial ringing of the opening bell on the New York Stock Exchange at 8:30 a.m., when Shaw officers and board members will join Bernhard for the event.

Immediately after the bell ceremony, Bernhard will appear on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” with co-hosts Erin Burnett and Mark Haines about 8:35 a.m. for an interview about Shaw’s global energy and construction projects, which include four nuclear reactors in China and six announced nuclear reactor projects in the Southeastern U.S. A Lake Charles nuclear manufacturing facility expected to open in October will support those projects.
