Gov. Jindal: Transparent Fraud Or Values Leader?
by Stephen Sabludowsky (excerpt)

BAYOU BUZZ

The New Orleans TP’s James Gill recently called Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal a “transparent fraud”. Yet, Governor Jindal is expected to speak at a “values voter summit” in Washington along with possible attendees such as Republican-leaning Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney. Fraud and values just aren’t suppose to mix.

Yes, Jindal’s popularity has dropped based upon a recent SMOR poll, but his positives hover around 66 percent, however, behind the numbers of Governor Blanco and Foster during the second year of their respective administrations. Jindal’s negatives are now over 30 percent although most of those numbers are from African American voters with whom he attracted in 2007 and which votes helped him win in the first primary. As of now, he has lost their vote. So, there seems to be a real disconnect between values and fraud and the polls are reflective of what voters are seeing in the Governor who was suppose to be the Louisiana “savior”.

Jindal is getting slammed daily in the conservative blogs and now in more traditional media such as the Times Picayune, Yet, he is still getting high marks nationally (who don’t know what is going on in Louisiana) but still holds sway at the Louisiana Capitol.

Jindal says he has the job he wants but can’t say no to national exposure. Which tells me that Jindal transparently wants his cake and wants to eat it too. He wants to keep his power in Louisiana since he is a second-tier candidate for President. Yet, he desires that national exposure. Which seems to mean he has one foot in Louisiana and one foot out--should opportunity come his way.

So, Is Jindal a transparent fraud? Or, does he have the type of “values” that the national GOP would be proud?

The answer to this question mainly depends upon what he does during this session and in the next few months.
