Not Even The Session Can Keep Bobby Grounded

Here at The Old River Road, we thought that with the opening of the legislative session we'd get a break from updating our "Where's Bobby?" map -- considering the governor cannot raise money during the course of the session or for 30 days after (until July 25). But alas, it is not to be.

Today House Republican Whip Eric Cantor announced the formation of a "National Council for a New America" -- basically it's a panel of Republican "stars" who will travel the country holding town hall meetings and trying to repair the Republican brand. It includes Gov. Haley Barbour, former Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen. John McCain, former Gov. Mitt Romney and our own Gov. Bobby Jindal.

(T)he first meeting is this Saturday in northern Virginia. No word yet on the remaining stops for the "2009 Republican All-Stars Tour," but we'll let you know as we find out. You know, the legislative session must be running pretty smoothly since Bobby has time to travel the country helping to solve national problems. I only wish he'd pay a little more attention to helping us solve ours.
